!±8± Portable Electric Grill

Outdoor grilling has become a past time of most Americans. Cooking outside during the hot summer months not only helps to keep your home cooler but, also gives people more time to enjoy the out of doors. Today more and more people are choosing to do their outdoor grilling with portable electric grills rather than charcoal or gas grills. There are two main reasons for this, cooking with electric grills is better for your health and the environment and it is simply an easy and more convenient method of grilling.

A Healthier Choice
You may be wondering why portable electric grills are a healthier choice than either gas or charcoal grills. The truth is there are many reasons why this is so. First, there is no open flames or flammable liquid to contend with, making these grills safer to operate and providing less of a fire hazard should the grill tip over. In fact, many portable grills are designed to shut off if they tip over thus preventing any chance of fires.

Second, it is believed that charred meat has more carcinogens than meat that is not charred. Since electric grills provide more even heat and no open flames when juices drip, there is less of a chance of hot spots or flames which is the cause of most charring during the grilling process.

Third, there is no dust emissions like there is from using charcoal and there is no used charcoal dust that needs to be gotten rid of which can prove harmful to the environment. Thus making portable electric grills safer for both you and for the environment than either gas or charcoal grills.

More Convenient
As well as providing a healthier way of grilling, portable electric grills also are easier and more convenient to use. You can adjust the heating temperatures so that you can cook your food at the exact temperature it needs to be cooked providing the best taste for your grilled foods. In addition, there are no hot and cold spots when using an electric grill so all your food gets cooked at the same time and you don't have to worry that some will be over cooked and some will be undercooked.

Electric grills are also easier to clean with many parts being dishwasher safe and they are also easier to maintain. There is also no need to worry about not having enough charcoal or gas to complete your cooking nor is there the hassle of filling gas tanks or running to the store to purchase additional charcoal. In addition portable grills start easier and take less time to heat than do charcoal grills.

When it comes to health and convenience the best type of grill to have for all your grilling needs is an electric grill. These grills allow you eat healthier with less worry of fire hazards or damage to the environment and save you time and work in both cooking and clean up.

With the variety of portable electric grills available it is simple to find one that meets your specific grilling needs at a price you can afford.

!±8± How To Clean The Outside Of Your Stainless Steel Gas Grills

Stainless steel gas grills do not simply offer an excellent grilling appliance at home, but also enhances its stylish and aesthetic appeal. Contrary to popular belief wherein your kitchen or grilling area should not be stylish, it is actually the opposite. Modern homes are now putting more focus into adding aesthetic value into your kitchen to make it more comfortable and pleasant for the entire family.

However, the extent of activity in the kitchen or grilling area can have its impact on your stainless grill over time. The outside of the steel gas grill is most vulnerable to stains, spots, and other unsightly marks. There are certain steps you should take when cleaning the outside of your stainless steel grill to ensure that you do not add to the damage.

Most types of stainless steel gas grill sold in the market today are manufactured with chromium. This should therefore be considered when you are cleaning the outside part of your stainless grill. This will not only remove any imperfections on the surface, but also prevent acquiring them in the future. Make sure to read below so you can learn more about how to keep your gas grill stainless steel looking its best.

Below is a step by step guide you should take note of:

* Make sure to turn off your steel gas grill before you start cleaning. This is important even if you are only cleaning the outside.

* Take a soft cloth and moisten it with a warm water. Use a mild cleaner or solution to ensure effective removal of scratches and stains. Use the solution in moderation or as required for the extent of the cleaning requirement. For general stains, you can apply 2 to 3 drops of the solution and wipe it on the outside of the grill. There are also cleaners out there that are manufactured specifically for dealing with a stainless steel gas grill, so make sure to choose them for optimum results.

* Use the cloth that is applied with the stainless steel cleaner to wipe the outside of the grill. Make sure to observe the direction of the grain and follow that as you are wiping on the surface.

* After applying the cleaning solution, you must wash the cloth or use another one to rinse the outside of the grill. Use water and wring it out for best results. Homemade BBQ Grills, Roasters and Smokers

!±8± Homemade BBQ Grills, Roasters and Smokers

When you decide to get yourself a grill the very first choice you have to make is to go out and buy one from the local garden or home improvement centre or to make your own. You may be the type of person that would never entertain the thought of building your own BBQ grill, but since your reading this article I'm assuming that you're at least considering the possibility! So let me try and get you over the line and convince you why it's such a good idea!

One of the most common reasons a lot of people will choose the DIY route is money, and it's a perfectly good reason, anything other than the most basic store bought BBQ can run into hundreds of dollars, and when all is said and done, all we want it to do is cook our food, and a homemade grill will do this as well as ANY store bought grill. Depending on the materials you already have available all your grill may cost you is your time, otherwise you should be able to beg, steel or borrow what you need without spending more than a hundred bucks.

For me though, the single biggest motivation for building your own BBQ is the satisfaction that you get from building it, never is this sweeter than while your watching the steaks and burgers sizzling away the first time you fire it up. It's a great buzz, and something you'll never get from a store bought BBQ, no matter how many features it has!

Another good motivator for getting off the couch and building your own is the freedom of design and expression that designing something yourself, from scratch offers. Maybe you want two levels of grill, maybe three, maybe you would like to have a work top or prep area on one side of the grill or maybe on both sides of the grill! Maybe your seven feet tall and you don't want to strain your back bending down to a standard height grill, the beauty of designing your own is that you can decide on all of these parameters yourself!

So once you've decided to take the plunge and design and build your own BBQ grill, another world of possibilities opens up! Sure, you can build a standard grill, but why not consider going the whole 'hog' (sorry!) and building a pig roaster, why not a meat smoker! All of these can be built from a standard scrap 55-gallon drum and some light angle iron!

Maybe working with metal isn't for you, no problem, you can build your own brick BBQ grill. This is a great addition to any garden, and when done well, can actually add a little extra value to the house!!

Whether you're using brick or steel, building a grill or a smoker, the principle is the same, with a little bit of enthusiasm and effort, coupled with a healthy dollop of good information, you can build something with your own hands that will pay you back with quiet satisfaction every time you use it!
